Elite Dangerous - Earn money with bounty hunting
Bounty hunting is apparently the most popular method in Elite Dangerous to earn credit. Find out where you can find the most wanted criminals here.
Elite Dangerous: Earn money by hunting bounty
Bounty hunting can be done in a variety of ways in Elite Dangerous: you either take on orders to kill a specific target, patrol in space to find your targets, investigate signal sources or go on a foray into a mining area. In general, however, it is recommended to have a kill command scanner on board in order to achieve maximum profit.
- Missions: Orders for bounty hunting on the mission board are available in almost every system. Here you earn not only the premium for the bounty, but also the contract value. However, it should be noted that you may take over - because the more valuable the order, the larger the ship. The target objects are usually only in the target system at a certain point in time. Therefore, you should intercept and destroy your goals as quickly as possible with the FSD breaker.
- Supercruise: In the Supercruise you can track down wanted criminals and intercept them with your FSD interrupter. After the target has been intercepted and destroyed, you go back to the supercruise to find your next target. This method is not the most effective, but you can intercept certain ships specifically and take less risk.
- Signal sources: If you want to be a bit more risky, look for your goals in signal sources. You will usually only find medium-sized ships in navigation signals. In unidentified signal sources, one can also find a federal Corvette. With both types of signal sources, however, you never know exactly what to expect.
- Mining areas: Mining areas are usually located in the rings of a planet. These areas are particularly good for finding wanted criminals. There are usually large vans that are mining resources that the pirates are most targeting. However, there are different types of mining areas, broken down by intensity: low, medium, high and dangerous. Ships of different sizes can also be found in each mining area.
