Write email with symbols in the subject - how it works
Whether you want to upgrade your newsletter or make colleagues aware of your email: Emails with symbols in the subject are a nice change in everyday office life. We'll show you how you can use the symbols.
Write email with symbols in the subject - how it works
If you want to use symbols yourself, you should proceed as follows:
- The symbols that can appear in the subject of an email are Unicode symbols.
- If you want to insert such a special character yourself, you can search for a page with Unicode symbols, for example. From there you can simply copy the characters and paste them into your subject line.
- Alternatively, you can use the Alt key and the correct sequence of numbers to create the Unicode character directly in the subject. You can find a list of characters and the corresponding codes here as a PDF document.
- Unicode symbols normally work without problems for all major mail services. It doesn't matter whether the recipient of your email uses outlook, gmx or web: you will hardly find a service that has problems with the symbols in the subject.
