Archive emails to Apple Mail on Mac
- Open Mail.
- Select one or more emails and right-click (two fingers) on them.
- Select "Archive" in the context menu.
- An archive folder is automatically created in the left menu bar.
Archive an entire mailbox in mail
You can archive a complete mailbox by exporting it as an MBOX file and importing it again later as required:
- Select the desired mailbox in the menu on the left - for example an archive or an inbox.
- Click with two fingers on the mailbox and in the context menu on "Export mailbox ..."
- Select a location and click "Select".
- To import the mailbox back into mail later, click on "File"> "Import mailboxes ..." in the menu. Leave the selection at "Apple Mail" and click on "Continue". Select the previously saved file and confirm with "Select".
