Corresponds to "characters in Word
There are different ways to insert the "corresponds" sign in Word. If you often deal with numbers, it is good to know where such mathematical operators are hidden.
Corresponds to characters via the symbol selection
In Word you can insert all sorts of things, including countless symbols. Follow the instructions to find and insert the "Matches" sign:
- Click the "Insert" tab.
- Select the "Symbol" button on the far right and then "Further symbols ...".
- In the new window, select "Cambria Math" as the font and "Mathematical Operators" as the subset.
- Go down the list a little further until you find the sign.
- When you are finished, click "Paste".
In this table you will also find numerous other symbols related to mathematics.
Insert special characters using a key combination
If you want to insert the character even faster, you can use a simple key combination.
- Enter 2259 where you want to insert the character.
- Immediately after entering, press the ALT + C keys. The number should now be represented as the "corresponds" sign.
