- Sitting : If you sit for hours on the screen with your back bent and your head stretched out, your joints will become inflamed. Your muscles can also suffer from incorrect stress in the long term. Check your sitting posture at the desk at regular intervals, what is important here is a straight back and your head, which is perpendicular to your hip.
- Even more sitting : Even if you are sitting perfectly at work, you are susceptible to inflammation if you do not move around. This lack of exercise is one of the most common causes of many clinical pictures of inflammation. However, you can prevent the consequences simply by getting up every hour and moving around a bit. It doesn't matter whether you go to the coffee machine or into the fresh air.
- Snack instead of lunch : It is tempting to go to the vending machine if you feel hungry in between and you do not have the time to have a lot of lunch. However, the additives contained in many snacks can lead to inflammatory processes in the long run. For snacks, it is better to choose healthy options such as raw food, nuts or a small salad.
- No lunch : The workaholics among you may also tend to skip lunch altogether or to avoid the snack trap. In this case, however, you are endangered by the constant stress when working through, because your body releases more cortisol, which in turn can have a negative effect on your blood sugar level and your hormone balance.
- Non-stop with a view of the screen : Work a lot on the screen for work-related reasons, strain your eyes beyond measure. Unfortunately, this is unavoidable in many professions. However, you can counteract this if you take a digital break more often in your free time and especially banish your cell phone from the bedroom before going to bed. Because the blue light from displays can disturb your sleep and inflammation can be promoted by the lack of sleep.
