- Check that the printer is properly connected to your PC. Depending on the model, try both the wireless connection method via WLAN and the connection of the printer via a USB cable.
- Install the latest drivers for your printer model. Then restart your computer.
- Start the scanning process both from the printer and on the PC. In most cases you will find a button called "Epson Scan" on the desktop after installing the appropriate driver or Epson software.

- In some cases, changing the start type of hardware detection to "Automatic" helps.
- To do this, click on "Start" and then right-click on "Computer". Select "Manage" here.
- Under "Services and Applications" select "Services" and then click on "Shell Hardware Detection" on the right side.
- Set the start type to "Automatic" and confirm the change.
