Clean Epson printhead - how it works
To get the best print results, you should clean the print head on your Epson printer regularly. In this practical tip, we will show you exactly what you have to do.
Print head cleaning at Epson - this is how you proceed
- Use the arrow keys on the printer to switch to "Settings" and then "Maintenance".
- There you will find the entry "Print head cleaning". After pressing "OK", the printer starts the automatic cleaning.
- When the process is complete, you should take a closer look at the cartridges.
- The ink in the cartridges may have dried out, which you can quickly and effectively fix with a toothpick.
- Note that you should only use original ink cartridges. Cheap cartridges can dry out faster and therefore do not achieve the desired quality.
- Alternatively, you can start the print head cleaning from the PC. To do this, right-click on the "Epson Status Monitor" in the task bar and select "Print head cleaning".
