Read EPUB books on Kindle - Here's how
Amazon's e-book readers actually only support books in MOBI format. You can also read EPUBs on Kindle. All you need is a free program. We show you how it works.
Transfer EPUB books to Caliber with Kindle
The free software "Caliber" converts e-books into a format suitable for Kindle and transfers them directly to the e-book reader. The program is available for Windows and Mac. Note: The procedure only works for e-books without DRM, i.e. without copy protection.
- Connect your Kindle to your computer via USB.
- Install "Caliber" and open the program. The software automatically detects the connected Kindle and displays it below.
- Drag and drop the desired e-book into the caliber window or use the "Add books" button and select the appropriate directory.
- Mark the book you want to convert and transfer and click on "Send to Reader" in the menu above. The book is then transferred to the Kindle's main memory.
- Disconnect Kindle from PC after transfer. Either the new book is already visible or you have to restart the e-book reader first.
