Error Validating Access Token: Troubleshoot Facebook errors
Would you like to like something on Facebook and the message "Error Validating Access Token" appears? We explain what this means and how to fix it here.
Error Validating Access Token: What Does It Mean?
- Facebook, like many applications, requires the user to log in securely - not only on the website, but also from the Facebook app.
- So that you do not have to log in with your username and password every time, there are so-called tokens that automatically register.
- These access tokens can become invalid over time - for example, if you have changed the password. Since the log data remains in the cache, logging out and logging in again does not help if access is invalid.
Error Validating Access Token: How to fix the error
- Open the Apps area in the settings of your Android smartphone. There, search for the Facebook app.
- To delete all traces of your last Facebook session, tap on "Clear data".
- You can also clear the cache. However, this is not absolutely necessary to fix the error.
- Now restart the Faceook app and log in with your access data if the error message no longer appears.
There are other error messages that are annoying. Therefore, in the next practical tip we will show you how to fix the "Facebook stopped" problem on your smartphone.
