You can easily create newsletters and flyers with Microsoft Publisher. Here you will find instructions and the first steps of the program.
Get started with Microsoft Publisher
How to create flyers and newsletters in a short time:
- The template catalog offers the right and suitable publication template for every occasion. You can also start with an empty publication and design it individually. You can find the template catalog under "File"> "New".
- You can insert pictures in MS Publisher either from your computer, from the Internet or as a clip art from Office.com. You will find this option under the "Insert" tab, similar to Word.
- Of course, you can also add image effects. These include, for example, shadow or light effects as well as 3D rotations. Simply mark the corresponding image and click on "Image Effects" under "Format" in the "Image Tools" tab.
- You can also apply such effects to texts. Mark the desired text here and click on "Text Effects" under "Format" in the "Text Tools" tab.
- By the way: You can also use pictures as a background for your publication. To do this, simply right-click on the image and select "Apply to background". Use the "Fill" option so that the image fills the entire area. If you want tiles of the picture to fill the background, select "Side by side".
Save the file with Microsoft Publisher
If you would like to have your publication printed, you can select "Save for photo printing" under "File" in the "Export" menu.
- This saves all pages of your publication as a JPG image, which a photo service can print out.
- Of course, you can also save the publication as a PDF or XPS file. For newsletters, it's best to save everything in HTML format.
