YouTube is part of everyday life for many Internet users. It wasn't that long ago that the video platform opened. The first and thus oldest YouTube video that was uploaded there is called "me at the zoo" in a very unspectacular way.
- "me at the zoo" was uploaded on April 23, 2005 by YouTube co-founder Jawed Karim to the "jawed" channel.
- The video is 18 seconds long and shows Jawed Karim visiting the zoo in front of the elephant enclosure.
- Translated into German, he addressed the following words to the first YouTube viewers: "So here we are with the elephants. The cool thing about them is that they have this really long trunk. That is cool."
- The first comment on this video (and therefore the oldest comment on YouTube) says: "Interesting ..."
