Everquest 2: Necromancer Guide
In this guide to the necromancer in Everquest 2, we introduce you to the summoner class.
The role of the necromancer in Everquest 2
As a necromancer, you revive the dead. This makes you a strong magician who also drains life from your opponent.
- As a summoner and magician, you deal enormous damage. The necromancer does this through spells that heal him himself and deprive the enemy of life.
- The necromancer also summons companions, such as the "Undead Knight". You can heal this with "Necrotic Reconstruction" with your own life points.
- Equipment: Like other magicians, you wear cloth armor. This makes you vulnerable in direct combat, which is why you should stay in the background.
- Attributes: Intelligence is your main attribute. It determines how much damage you inflict on the enemy. But you should also pay attention to your stamina.
Everquest 2: The Alternative Improvements of the Necromancer
The AVs serve to give you additional skills, for example in the craft sector.
- Summoner Tree: Invest your skill points here in "Perceptor's Bodyguard" to increase the life points of your companions. This gives you additional protection between you and your opponents.
- Heroic Tree: For more damage you should invest your points in "Critical Genius". Your critical hits deal additional damage.
- Necromancer Tree: With the AV "Accelerated Decay" your debuffs cause damage faster. This makes your spells more effective.
- You can find a complete skill set for alternative improvements that you can also use in the raid here.
Armor tips for the necromancer
As a necromancer, you only wear cloth armor. These don't give you particularly good defensive stats. You should therefore position yourself well in fights. The following armor will help you deal more damage:
- You get intelligence and endurance with the "Summoner's Calling (Armor Set)". If you wear 5 parts of the set, your spells will receive the "Grave Elemental's Affliction" effect.
- The "Fiery Destruction (Armor Set)" is even better. If you wear multiple pieces of the set, you will receive additional bonuses to your damage spells.
