By inserting a button in Excel, macros can be started easily with one click. We show you how to insert such buttons.
Insert buttons: Show developer tools in Excel
Before you can use the button function, you have to activate the developer tools in Excel. If you already see the "Developer" tab in Excel above, follow the instructions in the next paragraph.
Step 1:
Click the "File" tab in the upper left corner of Excel and select the "Options".
Step 2:
Go to the "Customize Ribbon" category on the left and activate the "Developer" option on the right.
Step 3:
If you close the window with the "OK" button, the developer tools appear as a tab at the top.

If you have activated the developer tools, you can now dare to integrate the buttons. Again, just a few clicks are required.
Step 1:
Go to the "Developer" tab above and click the "Paste" button in the "Controls" category. In the "Form controls" area, select the "Button".
Step 2:
Drag the button with the mouse in the workbook to the desired size, then a small window opens. Here you can record a new macro or assign an existing macro.
Step 3:
If you close the window with the "OK" button, the button is created. You can now move it with the mouse, change its size and right-click to rename and edit it.
