Excel: create csv file
If you create a simple table in Excel, you can save it as a CSV file. So you can reuse the file in many programs, since CSV is often used as a format for simple tables.
Save Excel table as CSV
You can save your simple table as a CSV file using the menu:
- Click "File"> "Save As ..."
- If you have Office 2013, you still have to click on "Browse". For other versions you have to select the format "CSV (delimited)" on the Mac, "CSV (Macintosh)".
- Now enter a file name and choose a storage location. Finally click on "Save".
