To quickly find out the corresponding calendar week for a specific date, there is the practical "Calendar week" function in the Excel spreadsheet.
- First, enter the corresponding date in a cell. In our example it is cell C4.
- Then click on an empty cell and enter the function "= calendar week (C4; 21)".
- The first parameter of the function specifies the cell in which the date is located. The second parameter represents the start of the calendar week. If you enter an "11", the calendar week begins on a Monday. The calendar week begins with the numbers 12 to 17 between Tuesday and Sunday.
- Note: ISO 8601 is used in Europe. The first calendar week of the year is assigned to the week in which the first Thursday of the year lies. If you select 21 as the parameter, you are on the safe side.
If you create a dynamic calendar in Excel, you can also display the calendar weeks with the formula.
