Excel doesn't print - it can be because of that
When your Excel spreadsheet is complete, it is especially annoying if Excel doesn't print it out. Since the problem can have several causes, we give you various tips.
Excel: Print job is not executed
First try to print another document with another program. This way you can determine whether the problem is with the printer or with Excel itself.
- Before you continue, restart the computer. The problem may not be necessary.
- Make sure that you have selected the connected printer. Print jobs can accidentally arrive at printers that are offline.
- Some printers cannot process unusual characters or fonts. If you use them, change them if necessary.
- If you have created a very extensive table, try dividing it up into two files.
Problem area: Printer - Excel does not print
Most often the printer turns out to be the cause of the problem:
- Open the hidden symbols in the lower right corner of the Windows bar. Select "Stop" and "Restart" there. If the file still does not print, stop printing and start again from Word.
- Continue to check the printer cables. Plug in the power cable and the connecting cable to the PC again.
- Another possible cause is outdated driver software. Update the driver software and try again.
- Since virus scanners can also be part of the problem, you should temporarily deactivate them and place a new print job.
- If none of the steps led to success, the last resort is to reinstall Excel.
