Excel: Several functions in one cell - how it works
In this guide, we show you how you can use several functions in one Excel cell.
Use multiple Excel functions in one cell
The process is called nesting and follows the following steps.
- Click in the Excel cell in which you want to enter several functions.
- In the upper area next to the input line, select "Insert function" (fx character). Then find the function you want to use first.
- When you are finished, click the arrow to the left of "Insert Function" before clicking "Ok". At this point, select the second function and enter the corresponding values.
- When you have entered all the desired functions within the cell, click on "Ok". The desired value can now be seen in the cell.
