Changes can be easily tracked in the Excel spreadsheet. This practical feature of Excel is particularly useful for tables that are used for the long term as well as for jointly edited tables.
Record the changes in an Excel table in three steps
The steps below refer to Excel 2010, but are similar in the other versions.
- After opening the appropriate workbook in the spreadsheet, click the "Review."
- In the ribbon, go to the "Changes" section and select the "Track changes" button.
- After you have selected the "Highlight changes" option in the pull-down menu, you can set the relevant parameters for the change log in the following menu.
- Finally, click on the "OK" button and you can easily track all changes in this Excel table in the future.
