Excel: Print out the table background - how it works
If you use background images in Excel tables, they are often not printed out. We will show you how to print it out completely.

There are two possible solutions:
- You can insert the image directly into your table with the command "Insert"> "Graphic"> "From file". Excel then prints them automatically, but this means that the cells in the affected area are overlaid and may no longer be readable.
- Better: Store the graphic with the command "Format"> "Sheet"> "Background" - this way the cells remain visible. However, printing is only possible via the integrated website preview:
- Click "File"> "Website Preview". Excel then starts your Internet browser and displays the table as an HTML document. You can now put this website on paper using the print function of your browser.
- In Excel 2007 and 2010, insert a background image using the "Page layout" and "Background" tabs. Again, the image is not printed, you have to save the table as a website and then print it out via the browser.
