Excel: Open tables side by side - how it works
If you want to open several tables side by side in Microsoft's spreadsheet program Excel without these being displayed in a window, you can open your tables separately. We show you how to do this in this practical tip.
Open multiple Excel spreadsheets side by side
- Start Excel and open your first Excel table with a double click with the left mouse button.
- Start Excel again now.
- Go to "File" -> "Open" in the menu bar at the top left and select your second Excel table. Click "Open" to open your second table.
- Now both Excel tables are in separate windows. If you align your two Excel tables side by side, you can have an unrestricted view of and manage both tables.
If you compare several Excel tables in parallel, you can convert units of measure and thus adapt the Excel tables.
