Excel: interpolate values - how it works
In this email, we explain how to interpolate values in Excel
Interpolation in Excel with a formula
You can achieve interpolation in Excel using a formula.
- The formula is "= (end-start) / (ROW (end) -LINE (start))." End "and" Start "refer to the last and first value of a set of values that you specify in Excel in a column.
- Then enter the formula with the corresponding cells in the function bar. In the next section we will show you the process using an example.
Example interpolation in Excel - how it works
- Enter your values in a column. You can see a few sample values in the picture.
- Now click in a free cell and, for this example, enter the following formula in the top toolbar: "= (C10-C6) / (LINE (C10) -LINE (C6))" - of course without the quotation marks
- Now either click on the tick next to the toolbar or press the Enter key.
- The result will be displayed directly to you.
