Excel: Swap rows with columns
Would you rather have created the columns than rows in Excel and vice versa? Then you have to swap the two - we will explain how it can be done easily.
Swap columns and rows with "Transpose"
- Select the relevant area and copy it to the hissing bin with [CTRL] + [C].
- Select a free cell and right click on it.
- Click on "Paste Special ...".
- A new window opens, tick the box "Transpose".
- Confirm with OK".
Now you have a copy of the table with columns and rows swapped. Delete the original table and copy the new table to the beginning - so you can easily swap rows and columns.
