The term Exif is often used in connection with the subject of photography. In this practical tip, we explain what that actually is.
What are exif files?
- Exif stands for "Exchangeable Image File Format". It is a standard format used to store metadata in images.
- Such metadata include the name and size of the image, the image depth and the coordinates of the location.
- By default, every camera and all smartphones save the metadata in the Exif file in every image.
- Right-click on the image file to select the "properties" of the image. Under the tab "Deatails" you will find the content of the Exif file.
