- Open Facebook in Google Chrome and log in to your account.
- Then click on the globe at the top right to open your notifications.
- At the top, choose the "Mute" option.
- In the new window, select the desired period in which notifications should no longer appear in the drop-down menu.
- Finally, click "Save" to apply your selection and keep Facebook quiet.
Disable Facebook notifications in Chrome
If you not only want to switch off the desktop notifications from Facebook, but also deactivate all messages from Google Chrome, you can also deactivate the feature completely:
- To do this, click on the menu icon with the three dots in the top right of the browser.
- Select the "Settings" entry from the dropdown menu. Now a new tab opens.
- Scroll down there and click on "Advanced" to display all settings.
- In the "Security and Privacy" section, click "Content Settings" and then "Notifications".
- Now you can choose whether you want to block all notifications or only certain websites. Here you can also enter Facebook in the list of pages to be blocked.
