Copyright infringement on Facebook: Beware of spam mail
- Spam emails are currently circulating on Facebook's behalf. It warns the operators of Facebook pages that there have been several copyright infringements on their own site in the past.
- To defend themselves against the allegations, users should fill out a form on Facebook. Via the link in the spam mail you actually land on Facebook, but in a Facebook app that does not come directly from Facebook.
- The app was developed by the scammers and posted on Facebook. This makes the mail look very trustworthy. Within the app, however, you will be asked to enter your name, email address, your own Facebook page and your password. With this data, the fraudsters can completely take over your Facebook page.
