Facetime doesn't work - you can do that
Below we tell you what you can do to make Apple's Facetime work on your iOS device again without any problems:
- To use the service, you need at least an iPhone 4. Facetime can only be used with the iPhone 4 via WLAN.
- Make sure you are connected to a Wi-Fi network or cellular network so that Facetime can be used.
- If not already done, you can activate the mobile data via "Settings"> "Mobile data".
- However, we recommend that you use Facetime via WLAN, since many data packets are required here.
- Your wireless service provider may not support Facetime, which is why you cannot use it. You can check this on an overview from Apple.
- In order for Facetime to work properly, you must have set the correct time zone in your settings.
- In addition, your Apple ID must be valid and entered correctly in order to use Facetime.
- Restart your iPhone once and then try again to use the service. If this still does not work, go to "Settings"> "Facetime" and deactivate it here. Note: It can take up to 24 hours for Facetime to be available to you after you reactivate it.
- If in doubt, you can also call Apple Support to describe your problem and request further help.
