Everything in Fallout 4 strives for your life. We have the best tips for you so that you can survive the post-apocalypse fairly unscathed.
Fallout 4's top five beginner tips
Fallout 4 is a gigantic game that can quickly overwhelm new players with its multitude of possibilities. You can survive the post-apocalypse like a pro with these five tips:
- There is a lot to discover and try out with your character, but talent should be used in a focused manner. Therefore, focus on one type of weapon at the beginning of the game and improve your talent. Few points in many different talents rarely help.
- Combat equipment is useful most of the time, but keep in mind that items and drugs have different uses. Switch to sunglasses and charisma enhancers before important discussions to increase your chances of success. With strength boosters, on the other hand, you can also carry the last valuable treasures home - even if you would normally be overloaded.
- Save frequently and never rely on automatic save status. Death comes surprisingly in Fallout, and automatic saves are sometimes more enemy than friend when they overwrite good saves at unfortunate moments. Also keep in mind that you can save in conversations if you want to test the consequences of your decisions.
- Modify your weapons, but conversely keep in mind that you can - and should - remove mods before you scrap a weapon. And as tempting as it can be to carry all of your mods around with you at all times: it's better to store them in a settlement so as not to constantly overfill your inventory.
- Don't jump into new battles too quickly. Sprinting is useful for escaping dangerous situations, but keep in mind that VATS and Sprinting compete for the same resources. If suddenly both are no longer available, you are in a bad position. However, you can deal the greatest damage outside of direct conflicts anyway if you land critical hits from a hiding place. They never miss their target and quickly drop even large monsters.
