Fallout 4: Improve and repair power armor
If you repair and improve the power armor in Fallout 4, it becomes an increasingly powerful survival guarantee in the wasteland. You can read how to do this in this practical tip.
Improve and repair power armor in Fallout 4
You will find the first power armor early in the game. If you replace, repair and improve the individual components, it will be a practical companion throughout the game.
- When you have found the first power armor, it is best to park it in the Minutemen Sanctuary. Especially at the beginning, you cannot equip them permanently due to the lack of fusion cores.
- In Sanctuary you will also find the railing for the power armor, which you can see in the picture on the right, next to the workbenches for weapons and the like.
- Switch off the power armor by briefly pressing the action key, ie [E] on the keyboard or [X] or [A] on the controller.
- You can then look at the armor frame and press the action button again.
- You are now in the modification overview and can select and replace individual components.
- Press [R], [Y] or [Triangle] to repair the currently selected part. Only repaired parts can be equipped and modified.
- Press the action key to modify and improve a component.
- There are different models for each component, which are numbered alphabetically. Model A is the standard model. With the use of scrap parts, you can choose a higher model.
- In general, the decisive values are damage resistance, energy resistance and radiation protection.
- In addition to the model improvement, you can also add some extras here. These include, for example, a jetpack or calibrated shock absorbers, which increase the carrying capacity.
- Certain modifications require certain skills. You must take this into account at the next level up. These include, for example, "Science" and "Quartermaster".
- All scrap parts that you spend on repairs or improvements are automatically deducted from the workshop or your inventory.
