Fallout 4: build a signal receiver yourself - how it works
For the quest "Molecular Level" you need a signal receiver in Fallout 4. We'll tell you how to build it here.
Fallout 4: How to build a signal receiver
After you have received the plans for the signal receiver from the super mutant researcher Virgil, you can either build it with the help of the steel brotherhood, the Minutemen, the Railroad faction or even all by yourself. We explain how you can do it alone:
- Build a free area in any settlement on which you can place all parts in the next step.
- First place the military standard molecular beam emitter at the heart of the system. You need 2 rubber, 1 copper, record (military standard), 1 circuits, 1, 10 steel. You can find the record at military airports.
- Set the stabilized reflector platform directly underneath, between the three pillars of the receiver. You will need: 10 aluminum, 3 circuits, 5 steel.
- In addition to the receiver, you use a control console. For this you need 1 biometric scanner, 2 rubber, 3 copper and 5 steel. You can find the scanner in hospitals, for example.
- You will also need a transmitter bowl. You build this from 3 gold, 3 copper, 1 sensor module, 3 steel and 6 fabric. You can find sensor modules wherever transmission takes place. So it's best to look for high-rise buildings, radio towers and the hobby electricians club.
- In order to supply this structure with electricity, you need 27 energy, which you can generate with three large generators, for example.
- Connect the generators to the signal receiver, the transmitter bowl and the console using cables and a mast. The emitter itself does not need a power connection.
The settlement around the signal receiver is only as good as its settlers. Therefore, in the next practical tip, we will explain how you assign tasks to Fallout 4 settlers.
