Fallout 4: change weather - how it works
In this article, we'll show you how to change the weather in Fallout 4. With the help of the console, the desired weather can be conjured up on the screen immediately. This is particularly useful when you want to have a certain atmosphere or take screenshots.
Change the weather using the console
You can open the console yourself in the game with the ^ key. You can find them at the top left under Escape on your keyboard. Then do the following.
- Open the console and just type "forceweather" (without the quotes) and a weather ID from the paragraph below. Alternatively, you can set the weather with the "setweather" command and the corresponding weather ID. With that, the weather will slowly change.
- Press Enter to execute the command.
- If you want to return to normal, dynamic weather, simply type "forceweather 0000015e" (without the quotation marks) and press Enter.
