Replace colors in GIMP - how it works
Individual colors can be easily replaced in Gimp and you can quickly change the blue plate to a yellow one. In our instructions, we will guide you through the individual steps.
Replace colors in Gimp - so go ahead
- Open the picture in free photo editing software Gimp.
- Click the "Path" icon in the toolbar. If your toolbox has disappeared, click "Tools"> "New Toolbox".
- If necessary, enlarge the view of your picture to be able to make exact markings. you can set the zoom precisely via "View"> "Magnification".
- Now mark the area to be replaced by another color.
- In the "Tool Settings" window (located under the toolbox by default) select "Selection from path". If you don't see the settings, click "Window"> "Dockable dialogs"> "Tool settings".
- Now go to "Colors" in the Gimp menu bar and select "Hue Saturation".
- You can now set the new color for the selected area in the new window. Finally confirm with "OK".
