Colored tabs in Mozilla Firefox - how it works
Colored tabs in Mozilla Firefox are not only a fun gimmick, they also help you to better sort open websites. Since this function is not integrated in Firefox, you need an additional plugin. We show you what you need to consider.
Colored tabs with the "Colorful Tabs" extension
The "Colorful Tabs" add-on randomly colors your open tabs. If necessary, you can even make certain tabs colorful or sort them by domains.
- Download the free extension here and unzip the file.
- Install the add-on by inserting the .xpi file via "File"> "Open file". Detailed instructions can be found here.
- Then click on "Install now" in the dialog window.
- After you restart your browser, your tabs are colored.
- Tip: All of the setting options listed above can be found under "Tools"> "Extensions"> "Colorful Tabs"> "Settings"
