Tip: Rotate images automatically in the viewer
Many image files contain so-called Exif information which, in addition to a number of image processing programs, also enables the FastStone Image Viewer to automatically recognize the orientation of your image and rotate the file. Almost every digital camera as well as some smartphone applications save this information in the file code of your picture.
- To rotate the image files into the desired orientation, first select the files to be rotated with [Ctrl] + [A].
- Then open the "Tools" option in the menu bar and confirm "Rotate selected images losslessly".
- Finally, click on the menu item "Auto turning according to Exif information". If the selected image files contain Exif information, the images are now displayed in the correct orientation.
