Send fax from Outlook - how it works
You can also easily send a fax from Outlook. In this practical tip we will show you how.
Send fax from Outlook - note
- Sending faxes from Outlook is unfortunately not possible.
- To do this, you need a paid fax service to send the faxes.
- On this page from Microsoft you will find an overview of all services.
- From there you can switch to the respective provider and find out everything else there.
Sending a fax from Outlook - this is how you proceed
- Start Outlook. Then click the "New Email Message" button in the top left.
- The window now opens in which you can compose emails. Simply enter the fax number in the "To ..." field instead of the email address.
- Enter the number like a telephone number, but do not use 0. If you are in Berlin, for example, and would like to send a fax to Munich, first enter "+49" for Germany, followed by "89" for Munich, followed by the rest of the phone number.
- Note: If fax transmission does not work in this way, you must first activate the "Windows Fax and Scan" option in "Control Panel" under "Programs and Features"> "Activate or deactivate Windows features".
In the next practical tip, we recommend online providers for sending faxes free of charge.
