FedEx Mail - is this a virus?
With FedEx disguised as the sender, countless emails circulate. In this article we show whether they contain a virus and how you should proceed.
FedEx Mail: Phishing email with Trojan content
"FedEx Mail" is a phishing mail.
- The "FedEx" emails contain an attachment called "Packet.zip" (or a similar named ZIP file).
- The email is not from FedEx. In contrast, a Trojan is hidden in the ZIP file.
- Under no circumstances open the attachment.
- If you are ours, if it is not a real email, you can download the attachment and check for viruses. In our test with an email from FedEx, a good ten virus scanners from VirusTotal found the Trojan.
