The error message indicates that there is an authentication problem on the outgoing server.
- Click on "File" at the top of the menu bar and then on "Information".
- Go to "Account Settings" and again in the submenu to "Account Settings".
- Double-click your email address, then click "More Settings".
- There you select "Outgoing server".
- Activate the option "The outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" and "Use the same settings as for incoming mail server".
- Confirm everything with "OK".
