Move window over the edge of the screen - is that possible?
If you want to move windows over the edge of the screen, they are immediately brought back into the normal viewing area. With a small tool, you can also arrange the windows as desired. We show you how this works.
Slide the program window over the edge of the screen - so it'll work
- The freeware AltDrag makes it possible to arrange the windows individually and also makes optimal use of the edge areas of the screen.
- The tool is ready to use as a direct tool after minimal installation. When selecting, you should activate the "Autostart" option so that the practical and very small helper always works in the background.
- You can make further adjustments later in the »AltDrag.ini« file in the program folder.
Move windows with AltDrag
- In the future it will be sufficient to hold down the [Alt] key to move windows freely with the left mouse button. You no longer have to click in the title bar, just anywhere in the desired window.
- Resizing the windows using the right mouse button now works just as easily. When you reach the edge of the screen with the mouse pointer, the window jumps to half or full image size, similar to Aero Snap in Windows 7.
- When it is pushed back, it gets the old dimensions again.
The tool runs under Windows 7, as well as under XP and Vista. The instructions are identical for all three operating systems.
