Windows: Move windows with a key combination
There are two main ways to move your windows in Windows: you can either dock the window to the sides of the screen edge or move it just a few millimeters on the screen. Both work with keyboard shortcuts:
- Dock window: Use the key combination [Windows] + [arrow keys] to dock the active window to the left or right edge of the screen. The window then takes up half of the screen. Use [Windows] + [Arrow up] to switch the window to full screen.
- Move window: To move the current window, press [Alt] + [Space]. A selection menu appears in the upper left corner. Navigate to "Move" using the arrow key and confirm with [Enter]. Now you can move the window as desired using the arrow keys. If you are satisfied with the result, press [Enter].
