Clean windows without a puller - so it is still streak-free
The puller is not the most important tool for cleaning windows. It is much more important what you clean the windows with.
- What you absolutely need is warm water. Windows do not get clean with cold water.
- When choosing the cleaning agent, you do not have to resort to purchased glass cleaners. There are some home remedies that also clean windows streak-free.
- The classic is a splash of detergent in the cleaning water. Dishwashing liquid dissolves grease and cleans well. Vinegar is just as effective when cleaning windows.
- A dash of alcohol in warm water is also suitable.
Dry window after cleaning
After the windows have been thoroughly cleaned, drying ensures that there are no streaks or streaks. A puller is a practical tool for this, but not absolutely necessary.
- After cleaning, wring out the cloth you used to clean the windows thoroughly and use it to remove most of the water from the window.
- The window does not get really dry. You can do this by rubbing the pane with a dry, soft microfiber cloth. Microfiber towels are absorbent and absorb moisture residues.
- A product that ends up in the trash every day is inexpensive and easy to use: newsprint. Crump up some old paper and use it to wipe the window dry.
- Only paper from newspapers is suitable. The pages from magazines or many advertising brochures are coated so that they hardly absorb moisture. Since the paper is also quite hard, small scratches can occur on the disc in the worst case.
