Connect TV to Bluetooth speaker - how it works

If you want to connect your TV with Bluetooth speakers or Bluetooth headphones, you can do this in several ways. We present two variants to you.

Connect TV with Bluetooth speaker: the requirements

Since very few TVs support a direct connection to an external loudspeaker, at least one of the following requirements should be met:

• In the best case, the TV has a jack for headphones.
• An optical Toslink or a digital SPDIF interface can also be used for a connection. However, the adapters for this are usually somewhat more expensive than those for the simpler jack connection.

Connect the Bluetooth speaker to the TV

• A direct connection between TV and Bluetooth speaker is usually not possible. This is mainly because the need for such a function is rather low.
• Some manufacturers, including Samsung, enable the connection between Smart TV and speakers via Bluetooth. However, both devices must come from the same manufacturer and support the "SoundShare" function.
• In most cases, you will need to work with an adapter. The following Bluetooth adapter is connected to the headphone jack on the TV. You can then establish a Bluetooth connection between the adapter and the speaker.
