Hide TV cables - this is how it works
There are many different ways you can hide your TV cables and get them out of your sight. With these tips it works in every apartment:
- Cable ducts are well suited and easy to install. You get them in various sizes and shapes. You can also cut the channels and shorten them to the desired length. The duct can be screwed to the wall or glued with hot glue and assembly glue.
- Tip: paint the cable duct in the same color that you used for the wall. This makes it stand out less and is hardly noticeable.
- In addition to a separate installation of cable ducts, you may also be able to use existing options. The skirting boards, for example, are a great hiding place. If your TV cable is longer and the nearest socket is further away, try to hide the cable behind the baseboard.
- A nice and easy way is also a kind of double wall. To do this, for example, place a plasterboard wall or a wooden board about two to three centimeters in front of the wall. This gives you a kind of cable duct, but you can leave the sides open. Paint or wallpaper the new wall in the same color as the original wall behind it. Tip: Attach LED strips for atmospheric lighting.
- If there are already furniture or plants in your apartment that are suitable as privacy screens, use them as a hiding place. Alternatively, it is advisable to buy a narrow cabinet, for example, on which you can place the television or receiver. This not only allows you to hide the cables nicely, but also creates additional storage space for remote controls and Co.
- As an alternative to the usual cables, all of which have a wide diameter, you can also use flat cables. Attach them so that the narrow side is facing the direction of view - then the cable can hardly be seen.
