FIFA 17 demo: extend halftime - how it works
In the FIFA 17 demo you can play a maximum of 10 minutes per game, including the extension. The halftime can be extended so that games can last up to 40 minutes. In this guide, we show which trick it works with.
Extend halftime of FIFA 17 demo
As with the predecessor FIFA 16, the halves of the demo in the latest part of the football series only last four minutes. With a little trick you can change this value in the PC version and play even longer. Unfortunately, there is currently no comparable hack on the consoles.
- First open the "Origin Games" folder in Windows Explorer. The default is in the path "C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Origin Games".
- There you open the "FIFA 17 Demo" and "Data" folders.
- Then right-click on the "locale.ini" file and select the "Editor" under "Open with".
- Insert the code "SKIP_BOOTFLOW = 0HALF_LENGTH = 10" into the line under "FIFA_DEMO = 1" and the code "AI_SETTING_HALFLENGTH = 10" into another line.
- The halftime length depends on the number entered, so in our example it is 10 minutes per halftime. A maximum of 20 minutes is possible.
- Finally save the file and start FIFA 17.
FIFA 17: Notes on halftime extension
- As practical as the way described above is, there is a small catch: Since the condition of the players in the demo is still limited to four minutes, they are exhausted very quickly at longer halves.
- If you want to undo the process, you only have to delete the two values from the INI file.
