FIFA 18: release and system requirements
As soon as FIFA 17 has been on the market for a few months, the calls for the release of FIFA 18 are loud. In this practical tip, we show you what the system requirements look like and what innovations FIFA 18 will bring with them.
FIFA 18: these are the innovations
EA has finally announced the new FIFA 18 and has already revealed a lot. This year Christiano Ronaldo made it onto the cover for the first time.
- In FIFA 17, EA brought a story mode into the game for the first time. In "The Journey" you experience the young talent Alex Hunter at its ups and downs in the Premier League. In FIFA 18 there will be a second part of "The Journey". How the sequel will look like is not yet known.
- There will also be numerous major and minor improvements in terms of graphics. Above all, the animations of the so far monotonous cheering audience should get a new coat of paint. You can certainly get something out of the Frostbite engine here.
- In FIFA 18, the weather should also come to the fore. Above all, rain should have a greater impact on the game and thus bring new difficulties to the game mechanics.
- Another big point is balancing. In FIFA 18, the developers want to focus primarily on competitive gameplay. The multiplayer and FUT mode should be even fairer and thus offer cheaters no chance.
- For the first time, a FIFA game will also be available for the new Nintendo console. For the Nintendo Switch EA will release an adapted and probably slightly slimmed down version.
- All other news and rumors can be found in our live ticker for FIFA 18.
FIFA 18: when is the release?
- Traditionally, the new FIFA 18 will be released in autumn 2017. The exact release date has been set to Friday, September 29th.
- As a member of EA Access, you can play FIFA 18 a week before the release. A demo version for first glimpses will probably be released two weeks earlier.
- The prices are now also fixed. The console versions for PS4 and Xbox One are priced at 69.99 euros. The PC version and the versions for PS3 and Xbox 360 are a little cheaper at 59.99 euros. If you order FIFA 18 from Amazon, the game will be delivered the same day.
- If you have a little more money left for the new FIFA 18, you can also choose one of the special editions. The Ronaldo Edition costs 20 euros more, the Icon Edition 30 euros more. The biggest advantage of the special editions is the 3 days early access.
