FileZilla: Read password - how it works
If you have forgotten the password for the FTP server, you can simply read it out with FileZilla. We'll show you how it's done.
Instructions: Read password from FileZilla
Start Filezilla and select the "Export" option under "File" in the upper left corner.
- Select the "Server Manager entries" and export the "sitemanager.xml" file to your desktop.
- Right-click to view the file under "Open With" using the "Editor".
- Approximately in line 10 you will find the entry "". The encrypted password follows.
- You can change the password in plain text on the Base64Encode.org website.
