Filming in the cinema - that's what the law says
In principle, you may not film the cinema film.
- In theory, you can film the canvas if you want to make a private copy for yourself. The operating rights of the operator speak against this.
- If the house rules of the cinema state that filming is not permitted, the operator can refer you to the hall if you are filming anyway.
- You will usually find a corresponding reference to the ban on the tickets.
- Anyone who not only films the film, but also distributes it, is also violating copyright law. There are high penalties here.
What you are also not allowed to do in the cinema
It is worth taking a look at the house rules of the cinema. You will find a lot of bans in it.
- Not only is filming with the smartphone prohibited during the performance.
- In many cases, photo, film, video and sound recordings are prohibited throughout the building without prior written permission.
- You are also not allowed to bring food and drinks to most cinemas. Outdoor cinemas are sometimes an exception. Nevertheless, ask how it is regulated in individual cases.
