Fire TV: activate and set up Bluetooth - how it works
Since an update for the Fire TV, keyboard, mouse and headphones can now also be connected via Bluetooth. We'll show you how to set up the connection and use the devices.
Activate and set up Bluetooth on the Fire TV
- Start the Fire TV and switch to the "Settings" category at the bottom left.
- Select the "Game Controllers and Bluetooth Devices" option here.
- Under "Other Bluetooth devices" you will now find the "Add Bluetooth device" item.
- The Fire TV will now search for the new Bluetooth device. Activate pairing mode on the Bluetooth device.
- Once you've found the right button, the Bluetooth device will appear on the Fire TV.
- Select the device and enter the corresponding code if necessary.
- Fire TV and Bluetooth device are now connected to each other.
Fire TV: Important information about the Bluetooth connection
- The Fire TV can remember up to seven devices at the same time. A connection with the smartphone is not possible. Low voltage devices (Bluetooth Smart) are also not supported
- If you want to connect a device to the Fire TV again, simply open the same menu. The connection runs much faster after the first time.
- You can also separate the devices from each other in the same menu. Alternatively, simply switch off the Bluetooth device.
