You need this for the Fire TV Stick without WiFi
The Amazon Fire TV Stick offers streaming for every TV. A good WiFi connection is required. You can also use the newer Fire TV sticks with Alexa support without WLAN. This is made possible by an optional Ethernet adapter for LAN. What you need for this:
- One of the following Fire TV Sticks that works without WiFi: Fire TV Stick (2nd generation, 2017 model) Fire TV Stick Basic EditionFire TV Stick 4K
- An Ethernet adapter for LAN: Amazon Ethernet adapter for Fire TV Sticks
- A LAN cable that extends from your TV to your router.
Connect the Ethernet adapter
We explain step by step how to connect the Ethernet adapter to the Fire TV Stick.
- Insert your Fire TV Stick into an HDMI slot on your TV as usual.
- Connect the Ethernet adapter to the mini USB port on the stick.
- The power cable of the Fire TV Stick comes to the mini USB connection of the adapter.
- You connect the adapter and the router using the LAN cable.
- In the Fire TV menu, select "Settings", then "Network".
- Here you select the "Wired" option. If the LAN connection is successful, a confirmation appears.
