Fire TV Stick jerky - you can do that
If the Fire TV Stick jerky when playing movies, series and videos, the cause can be found quickly in most cases. In this practical tip, we will show you how to solve the problem.
Fire TV Stick jerky: change frequency and resolution
- Start the Fire TV Stick and go to "Settings" in the lower left menu.
- In the category "Tones and screen" you will now find the item "Screen".
- The "Automatic" option is usually activated for "Video resolution". This can cause jerky playback.
- Select the option "1080p 50Hz" or 720p 50Hz "and check whether the jerking still occurs.
- The playback at 60Hz can only be worthwhile for very current films. With some TV sets, this unfortunately leads to a slight overload.
Jerky Fire TV Stick: restart & reset
- If changing the frequency did not help, first try a simple restart. To do this, disconnect the device from the power and from the television. Alternatively, you can hold down the selection and play button on the remote control at the same time.
- If that doesn't help, there may be a system error. However, this should rarely be the case. In the last instance, you can therefore reset your Fire TV Stick to the factory settings. Then all you have to do is reinstall all the apps you want.
In the next practical tip, we will show you how to completely switch off your Amazon Fire TV Stick.
