In this practical tip we will show you how to deactivate files in Firefox Cache.
Disable cache files in the Mozilla Firefox browser
- Start Firefox and open the context menu with the "Firefox" button at the top left. Click on "Settings" there.
- Navigate to the "Advanced" tab. Here you will find the "Network" tab.
- Under the item "Cached web content" there is the option "Disable automatic cache management". Check the box here and limit the cache to zero.
- Confirm the change by clicking "OK". Then restart Firefox.
Check if the cache is turned off
- At the top of the address bar, type "about: cache" (without the quotation marks).
- "Information about the Cache Service" appears. You have successfully deactivated the cache if either the message "Cache is disabled" appears or the entry "Storage in use:" is set to zero KiB under "Information about the Cache Service".
