Firefox doesn't print - it can be because of that
You want to print something, but Mozilla Firefox does not print. In this article we explain what this can be and how you can solve the problem.
Firefox doesn't print - it can be because of that
If you have problems printing a web page from Firefox, there can be many reasons. A first step towards a solution can be to update the browser and the printer driver. If this does not help, please test the instructions below.
- To open the print menu in Firefox, click on the three short horizontal lines at the top right (see screenshot) and then on "Print".
- Sometimes an incorrect configuration of the printer can be to blame. Therefore, check whether Firefox is addressing the correct printer if you clicked "Print ...". Printer names can be selected from a drop-down list.
- Also check the print settings in the print preview. The scaling should be set to "Reduce to page size" and the page format to "Portrait".
- You can make further settings under "Page setup ...". Make sure that the page margins in the "Margins & Headers / Footers" tab are set correctly. The default value is 12.7 mm.
- Check in the "Print ..." menu whether the option "Output to file" is selected. It should be deactivated.
